Consultancy sector continues to grow, up 8% in 2019
Strong growth in Britain’s world-class management consultancy sector is expected to continue over the next twelve months, according to the latest Annual Member Survey from the Management Consultancies Association (MCA). Despite a year of political and economic uncertainty in the UK, MCA member firms estimate growth for the sector was around 8.3% in 2019, slightly above the 7% growth rate the previous year.


Public sector awards consulting contracts worth £1.3 billion
The UK’s public sector handed out more than 700 consulting contracts in the seven months of 2019, totalling a value of over £1.3 billion. According to analysis by Consultancy.uk in collaboration with Tussell, while the biggest contracts typically involved the Foreign Office, Brexit was not the only show in town as DEFRA and the MoD also handed out large sums for advisory work.
